Arriving in Nicaragua, fresh from our Business Class flight, we headed straight for Lake Nicaragua. Crossing by ferry to Isla Ometepe. Great two days, pretty little island and awful roads! Rented a motorbike to explore and climbed Volcano Maderas to its cloudy and murky lake in the crater! Beautiful views on the way down.

From Ometepe we travelled to Granada. Really picturesque city, wonderful colours, contrasting with the clear blue sky. Mango’s in abundance for 15 pence each so ate lots!
5 day flying visit, but a great country with lovely people. From Managua boarded an 11 hour bus onwards to El Salvador.
