6 day trip to the Amazon Rainforest in the Cuyabeno Reserve, near
Columbia and
Peru.

Antonio the resident Toucan. Rescued young and now very domesticated with the attitude of an annoying toddler! Stealing things and pecking your feet!

Wolf spider, 3 days fever for a bite!

Tarantula, not dangerous to humans unless you threaten it!
Swinging on the vines, surprisingly strong!

Wet jungle walk.
Piranha fishing, Zoƫ got first two bites, took me a while longer but got a catfish instead! Great to return to the lodge and cook them for lunch.

Squirell monkey mid flight!
Lagoona Grande. Black water lake, unfortunately couldn’t find anaconda or caimans, but found a family of Grey River Dolphins. Nice swimming, with anaconda, caiman, piranha, electric eels to worry about! Night walking found a a small constrictor snake and many more spiders.

Alberto, Shamen. 87 years old, uses the trumpet flower (3 x LSD) to leave his body and fly the universe with the spirits. Not on the NHS.

Local dug out canoe.
Really nice trip, simple way of life, quickly adapting to animal and insect presence, good warm up for Galapagos!
