Finally we found our perfect project. An under funded orphanage in Chimaltenango about 20km north of Antigua. With the teacher not present due to insufficient funds to pay her, we stepped up to the challenge of running morning classes for nine 5-12 year olds not enrolled in school. A challenge, and really in at the deep end. Creating lessons on Geography, Maths, English and Grammar. Along with entertaining and tidying we ended the week tired yet very satisfied to have really made a difference to these kids lives and learnt a little about ourselves too.
